Kathuhari is a beautiful new 700m2 upmarket 5 star superlative guesthouse situated in the heart of the protected Camelthorn Tree forest in the Kalahari Gholf en Jag Landgoed, Kathu.

Our spectacular view and location nestled between famous Camelthorn Trees. A wonderful turn around for golfers as the 6th and 14th greens of the Sishen Golf Course comes together. This view is where you will lose your heart on the Kalahari sunsets to ensure this makes your stay a magical experience!

Kathuhari is a dream come true. The combination name "Kathuhari," Kathu (Khoi for place under the trees) and Kalahari (Khoi for place of thirst) literally sums up this beautiful part of South Africa and specially the guesthouse. Kathuhari is indeed a place under the big Camelthorn Trees where you can "unwind" with water for your soul. Experience our peaceful environment, away from the city hustle and bustle, and feel at peace.

Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room and special request boma evenings is an experience not to be missed. Each of the seven luxurious en-suite individually decorated bedrooms, all with views, will ensure an unforgettable stay. One of our rooms includes our presidential suite with a private plunge pool, which is surely a cut above the rest.

It is an honour to welcome you to Kathuhari Guesthouse. To ensure that all off our guests have a pleasant stay, please pay attention to the following points:

Breakfast | Breakfast is served weekdays from 07:00am till 08h30am and weekends from 08:00am till 09:00am. If you have to leave earlier, a breakfast pack can be arranged. If you want to order a Lunch pack, we will do so with pleasure at an extra cost.
No Smoking is allowed inside of the suites or any area inside the building. Smoking is permitted on specific outside areas where it does not offend other guests. Please use ashtrays provided for disposal of cigarette butts. A fine of R600 will be charged to your suite if you do not comply with this policy.
Takeaways in rooms not allowed nor the making of any food.
It is not allowed to accommodate personal quests in your suite, but they are welcome to join you in the living, bar or boma area.
Please use the safe provided for all your personal belongings as Kathuhari Guesthouse can not be held liable for loss of personal belongings
Kathuhari Guesthouse shall not accept responsibility for losses to the guests for any claims, including responsibility for personal body injury, death, accident, lost, stolen or damaged property, and loss of mental or physical enjoyment, delay or inconvenience.
